Who can you turn to...  ...to talk? ...for help?
If you were the president of a large company, you
could turn to other senior executives and to the
board of directors for ideas, feedback and guidance. For other
problems, you might have a session with the corporate therapist.
Coaches use their knowledge and experience to assess the talent, give ideas, suggest changes and to motivate. A good coach takes into consideration that each athlete is an individual with values, emotions, limitations, and other factors that affect his or her performance.
A coach doesn't score overtime goals, doesn't take the physical pounding and doesn't make as much money as some of the players he or she coaches.
As "business coaches", we assess your talents and resources. Then, we provide you with good advice and good service for a reasonable fee so that you can reap the greater rewards you deserve for your effort and for the risks you've taken on.
At Cholkan + Stepczuk, business coaching is a large part of what we do for our clients. It is the part of our job we really enjoy, and we think we do it well. Chartered Accountants have been respected and trusted business coaches for a long, long time. This is why...
First, as Chartered Accountants we have a broad educational background that includes courses in all facets of business -- from accounting, obviously, to computers, to marketing. Chartered Accountants must observe Rules of Professional Conduct which are based on ethical and honourable principles. These rules are first and foremost aimed at the protection of clients and the public in general.
Second - we get to know a business thoroughly - probably better than anybody but the owners. We learn a lot when we go through books and records to prepare financial statements and tax reports. Much of that information is personal and confidential and you don't want to disclose it to many more people. But that information is extremely useful for those like us who can give you valuable advice. Much like a doctor is your confidant with respect to your health, a Chartered Accountant is your confidant with respect to your finances.
Third - we are independent of any other parties that you may be dealing with, either directly or indirectly. We do not receive commissions from other parties for matters arranged on your behalf. Our clients are the only ones who pay us, so our loyalties are our clients. We always advise in your best interests.
We've all had those days. On days when everything seems to go wrong and your usually limitless self-motivation needs help to get back on the rails, we expect your call. We're always glad to talk things over and to give a hand if we can.
If you think we should team up with you, call us.
